Taryn is a New Zealand writer whose publication record includes several non-fiction books, tertiary college courses, website content, and more than 400 feature articles, reviews, and columns published in newspapers, websites, and magazines. Taryn is a full member of the New Zealand Society of Authors (NZSA).  

Taryn is a member of Mensa, and a trained and registered secondary teacher, specialising in English, History, and Religious Studies.

​She is also a NZ registered marriage celebrant, and holds several university qualifications including Bachelor's and Master's degrees, and is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Otago, whilst working as a tutor at Laidlaw College.
